Job description

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience working in a consumer electronics hardware development environment, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience working in a technical environment, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout tools, digital circuit design, and analog circuit design.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Experience in consumer electronics and embedded systems design with mass-volume production.
  • Experience with laptop designs, communication protocols, high-speed signal integrity, and power design.
  • Experience in prototype bring-up, debugging, functional verification, scripting, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Testing (DFT).
  • Experience creating detailed documentation for hardware engineering projects.

Responsibilities
  • Execute functional validation planning and participate in hardware design reviews for key sub-modules and interfaces to ensure specification compliance.
  • Perform platform bring-up, hardware validation, and system performance characterization across parallel platform roadmaps.
  • Conduct laboratory debugging, troubleshooting, and failure analysis to resolve hardware issues and unblock development activities.
  • Collaborate with external partners and partner-facing teams to streamline development pipelines and ensure hardware performance.
  • Provide documentation of the hardware design, its implementation, or test/validation results throughout the product life cycle.
