Future Publishing is looking for an SEO & GEO Account Manager to join our growing commercial SEO team. As search evolves beyond traditional engines to include AI-powered experiences such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews, you'll help clients understand and improve their visibility across both traditional and emerging search platforms. Reporting to the SEO & GEO Innovation Manager, you'll lead a portfolio of client campaigns, providing strategic guidance and clear performance insights.

This is a client-facing role that combines SEO expertise, commercial awareness, and strong communication skills. You'll work closely with optimization specialists, analysts, and commercial teams to deliver successful campaigns and demonstrate measurable value to clients. While account management is a key responsibility, this is primarily an SEO specialist role, requiring confidence in discussing technical SEO, content strategy, search visibility, and emerging industry trends.

What You'll Do

You will report into the SEO & GEO Innovation Manager

Client & Campaign Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of US-based GEO clients
  • Lead regular client meetings, performance reviews, and strategic discussions
  • Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on SEO and search visibility
  • Translate complex SEO and GEO concepts into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Guide clients through the evolving search landscape and explain campaign performance and outcomes
  • Ensure campaigns meet deadlines and align with agreed objectives

SEO & GEO Strategy

  • Analyze campaign performance and visibility trends across traditional and AI-powered search environments
  • Monitor visibility across AI-powered search experiences, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, and Google AI Mode
  • Interpret data and insights to identify optimization opportunities
  • Partner with the optimization team to develop and implement recommendations
  • Help clients understand how authoritative content surfaces in AI-powered search experiences
  • Monitor developments across search and generative AI platforms and share relevant insights with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to GEO best practices and methodology development

Commercial Support

  • Support new business opportunities by providing GEO expertise for pitches and proposals
  • Produce analysis and insights for prospective client opportunities
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to define campaign approaches and expected outcomes
  • Support long-term client success through effective campaign delivery and clear communication of results
Experience That Will Put You Ahead Of The Curve
  • 3+ years of experience in an SEO-focused role
  • Understanding of technical SEO, content optimization and search performance measurement
  • Experience presenting SEO insights, recommendations and performance updates to clients or senior stakeholders
  • Communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience using industry-standard SEO tools including GA4, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, peec.ai, Screaming Frog and similar platforms
  • Confidence analyzing data and translating findings into actionable recommendations
  • An interest in AI, emerging search experiences and the future of content discovery
  • Experience managing multiple projects or client relationships simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in an environment where experimentation, learning and iteration are key
Compensation and Benefits

The expected range for this role is $73,000 - $95,000
