What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Google Geo position, and why are they important?

To thrive in a Google Geo role, you need a strong background in geospatial technologies, data analysis, programming (such as Python or Java), and often a degree in computer science, geography, or a related field. Familiarity with GIS platforms, mapping APIs (like Google Maps API), and large-scale spatial data processing tools is typically required. Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills help you navigate multidisciplinary teams and complex project requirements. These abilities are essential for developing accurate, scalable geospatial products and delivering innovative location-based solutions used by millions worldwide.

Does Google hire GIS analysts?

Google hires GIS analysts to work on geographic data analysis, mapping, and spatial data management. These roles often require skills in GIS software, data visualization, and understanding of geographic information systems, with some positions requiring relevant certifications or experience in geospatial technologies.

What are the typical day-to-day responsibilities for someone working in a Google Geo position?

In a Google Geo role, your daily tasks can include developing and refining mapping algorithms, analyzing geospatial datasets, and collaborating closely with software engineers, product managers, and UX designers. You may be engaged in designing new features for geo-based products like Google Maps, troubleshooting data issues, or optimizing the accuracy and performance of location services. It’s common to participate in cross-functional meetings to align project goals, give feedback on prototypes, and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends. This dynamic environment fosters continuous learning and provides opportunities to make a direct impact on products used globally.

What is Google Geo team?

Applying through Google's careers website, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities, and showcasing relevant projects or certifications can improve chances of selection.

What jobs make $3,000 a month without a degree?

Jobs related to geographic information systems (GIS), such as GIS technician or map analyst, can pay around $3,000 monthly without requiring a degree, especially with relevant skills in GIS software like ArcGIS or QGIS. Other roles like freelance cartographers, remote data annotators, or certain sales positions may also reach this income level with experience and self-education, but they often depend on workload and client base.

Job description

AEO/GEO Content Strategist (Future Opportunity)

As New Breed grows, so will our teams! This posting is for a future opportunity. Please submit your application if you're interested in being considered in 2026. We'll be in touch if we're a good match!
At a Glance
Company: New Breed
Role: AEO/GEO Content Strategist
Location: Remote, United States
Compensation: Market-competitive base salary and uncapped incentive
Ideal background: B2B agency content strategist
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an AEO/GEO Content Strategist to lead organic growth strategies that perform not only in traditional search, but also wherever B2B buyers are looking: traditional SERPs, Google AI Overviews, and the generative AI platforms and LLMs that are redefining organic discovery.
You’ll own content strategy and execution for a portfolio of B2B clients, serving as a trusted advisor who translates complex AEO, GEO, and AI concepts into clear, confident recommendations for marketing leaders and C-suite stakeholders.
This role is for someone with a strong SEO foundation who understands that modern search and prompting strategy is no longer just about rankings. You’ll ensure your clients are present, credible, and influential at every stage of how modern buyers research and decide.
Why Content Strategists Choose New Breed
  • Content strategy is a dedicated, valued discipline here. You'll have resources and support to do your best work.
  • Uncapped incentive and career growth tied directly to your performance. No waiting for promotion cycles.
  • You'll report to a hands-on leader who models the way and is committed to making your work more rewarding.
What You’ll Do

Client Strategy amp; Delivery
  • Execute hands-on AEO/GEO and SEO content strategy for a portfolio of B2B clients, including:
    • Research and roadmap development
    • Technical recommendations
    • Content execution and optimization
    • Performance analysis and client reporting
  • Build and deliver integrated strategies that address the full search landscape, including:
    • Traditional organic search
    • Google AI Overviews amp; evolving SERP layouts
    • LLM visibility and brand representation (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.)
    • On-site content updates to improve KPIs
AEO/GEO amp; SEO Execution
  • Develop keyword, pillar, and content strategies informed by client goals, competitors, and AI retrieval behavior.
  • Build content that speaks to human readers and is structured to be understood, cited, and surfaced by AI.
  • Audit and analyze client presence in AI-generated answers, surfacing gaps and opportunities to strengthen visibility and accuracy.
Data, Measurement amp; Reporting
  • Own AEO/GEO and SEO measurement frameworks using HubSpot AEO and emerging AI visibility tooling.
  • Build reports that clearly communicate performance, impact, and next steps tied to target outcomes.
  • Bring clients insights and recommendations that look ahead, not just metrics that look back.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner cross-functionally with the broader Demand Services team to ensure the AEO/GEO content strategy is integrated into wider demand gen programs.
Thought Leadership amp; Growth
  • Stay ahead of where search is going, running experiments, stress-testing assumptions, and building New Breed’s collective knowledge along the way.
  • Support company growth by partnering on case studies, thought leadership, and sales enablement content.
Milestones for Success
Within 30 Days: You’ve completed onboarding and are finding your footing, learning New Breed’s approach, and beginning to support client projects alongside your team.
Within 90 Days: You're finding your stride, contributing to live client initiatives, applying what you've learned, and bringing your own thinking to client recommendations.
Within 120 Days: You've hit your full stride, owning a complete book of business with growing independence and ongoing support from your manager.

Required Skills
  • 3+ years of progressive, hands-on SEO experience evolving into AEO/GEO within a B2B agency environment.
  • 3+ years of original content creation and optimization across blogs, ebooks, videos, infographics, emails, landing pages, and sales collateral.
  • Proven ability to build and execute long-term SEO strategies, not just audits or checklists.
  • Hands-on experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush, SEOmonitor, Moz, and other emerging platforms focused on visibility and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with GA4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and Looker Studio.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort turning data into clear recommendations.
  • Confident, curious, and ready to tackle challenges head-on, even if you haven’t seen it all before.
  • Recognize yourself in our Core Values.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base salary plus a performance-based uncapped incentive structure
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Employer-sponsored 401(k) with match
  • Paid parental leave
  • Flexible vacation and sick time
  • Life insurance and disability coverage
  • Recognition programs for top performers
