Job description

*Starting base salary from $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 annually plus additional incentives*
  • The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a performance bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Pay is based on location, experience, and qualifications etc.

Key Responsibilities
1. Enterprise SEO Management (BrightEdge)
  • Serve as the primary owner of our BrightEdge instance. That means building and maintaining dashboards in Data Cube and StoryBuilder that give us a clear picture of Share of Voice against our direct competitors, not just vanity metrics
  • Keen ability to identify organic search opportunities, property by property, and execute the on-page work yourself, rather than waiting for someone else to pick it up
  • Continuously run technical audits covering crawl errors, broken links, and Core Web Vitals, then work directly with our web developers to get issues resolved quickly
  • When a property's booking engine is not converting the way it should, you flag it, diagnose it, and help fix it

2. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) & Innovation
  • Lead our shift from traditional SEO to what comes next. That means optimizing our content not just for search rankings but for Answer Engine readiness, making sure our properties are the ones being cited when someone asks ChatGPT or Perplexity where to stay in Napa or Pismo Beach
  • Manage and implement Schema markup across the portfolio so that search engines and large language models actually understand what each property offers, where it is, and what makes it worth booking
  • Stay ahead of the curve on algorithm updates, AI search behavior, and new platforms, testing new approaches before the competition even notices something changed and present findings to all levels of the organization

3. Content & Onsite Strategy
  • Partner with the marketing team to turn search intent into content briefs; you do not just report on what traffic we have; you tell us what to create to get more of it
  • Own our Yext relationship and Google Business Profiles across all properties, including hours, amenities, photography, and accuracy.

What We're Looking For
  • 3-5 years of SEO experience, preferably within the hospitality or travel industry.
  • You are a BrightEdge Power User with knowledge on how to configure the platform to extract actionable insights. Experience with Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console is also required.
  • You have a working knowledge of how Large Language Models (LLMs) retrieve information and are excited to experiment with optimizing for AI.
  • You understand that data serves the guest experience. You write copy that invites connection and avoids transactional language (e.g., we prefer "Reserve Your Stay" over "Secure Your Room").
  • You can explain complex SEO concepts to key stakeholders, including General Managers, without getting lost in the jargon.
Why Join Us?
  • Impact: In a portfolio of this size, your work has immediate visibility. A strategy you implement on Tuesday can drive bookings by the weekend.
  • Innovation: We are actively investing in the best tools and strategies. You will have the resources to do the job right.
  • Growth: You will work directly with leadership that values digital innovation, giving you a seat at the table to shape the future of our digital marketing strategy.

Peregrine Hospitality Benefits
  • Competitive salary + performance bonus
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) match
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • Hotel stay discounts across our portfolio
