Content Strategist (Accountant)

Duration: 12-month contract with opportunity to extend / convert full time

Location: Hybrid preferred (Mountain View, San Francisco; San Diego or New York secondary).


Overview

Own the end-to-end blog content strategy for company's Accountant business. Drive thought leadership, brand awareness, SEO performance, lead generation, and customer engagement through high-quality B2B content. Partner closely with Marketing, Communications, Sales, Customer Success, and external agencies to deliver measurable business outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own the content strategy and editorial roadmap for the Accountant business.
  • Develop customer-focused content supporting company's Accountant Suite and related ecosystem solutions.
  • Align content with go-to-market initiatives and every stage of the customer journey.
  • Create content briefs and manage editorial calendars, production schedules, and agency partners.
  • Review and edit content for quality, accuracy, SEO, GEO, and LLM optimization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Communications, Sales, Customer Success, and editorial teams.
  • Track content performance and optimize strategy using analytics and SEO insights.
  • Present recommendations and results to leadership.

Preferred Experience

  • B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or technology company
  • Accountant, finance, or SMB audience experience preferred
  • Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress a plus)
  • Strong writing, editing, communication, and stakeholder management skills
