Job description

Job Summary 

We are seeking an experienced Dynatrace Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in application performance monitoring (APM), infrastructure monitoring, and observability across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing monitoring solutions, ensuring high availability and performance of enterprise applications and infrastructure. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Dynatrace monitoring solutions.  

  • Develop dashboards, alerts, health checks, and performance monitoring strategies.  

  • Enable end-to-end observability across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.  

  • Monitor Windows/Linux servers, VMware environments, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).  

  • Support monitoring of databases, middleware, networking components, and microservices.  

  • Perform application performance monitoring using Dynatrace, including transaction tracing, synthetic monitoring, and Real User Monitoring (RUM).  

  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to troubleshoot performance issues and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).  

  • Participate in incident response and provide monitoring insights during production issues.  

  • Identify monitoring gaps and continuously improve monitoring standards, documentation, and alerting strategies.  

  • Integrate monitoring tools with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.  

  • Support monitoring for Kubernetes/containerized environments.  

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.  

  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure support, or monitoring.  

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace or similar APM/observability tools.  

  • Experience with Windows/Linux administration and VMware environments.  

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).  

  • Good understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, TCP/IP, and load balancing.  

  • Experience with Kubernetes/container monitoring.  

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and incident management.  

Preferred Skills 

  • PowerShell or Bash scripting for automation.  

  • Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or financial services.  

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.  

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.  

  • Proactive approach to monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement.
