Job Description

JCPRD is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Golf Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at Heritage Park Golf Course, a well-established 18-hole golf course in the heart of Johnson County, Kansas.

The Heritage Park Golf Operations Manager is responsible for all golf shop operations, including tee time scheduling and related software systems, budgeting, inventory management, concessions, merchandising, reporting, revenue oversight, leagues, tournaments, and the supervision and training of pro shop staff. This role promotes a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring guest expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

The Manager of Golf Operations works closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to maintain strong communication and collaboration. The position also partners with staff at JCPRD's other 18-hole course, Tomahawk Hills Golf Course, to support consistent operations and guest experiences across both facilities.

Examples of Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing the golf services budget, including forecasting and reviewing all golf operations revenues and expenses on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis
  • Provide golf instruction, as necessary, keeping abreast of the latest teaching technology and programs
  • Manage and oversee the course tee sheet system and schedule, including the check-in experience and pace of play
  • Increase revenues through the creation and implementation of promotional programs and marketing initiatives
  • Instruction with camps and junior leagues
  • Directly supervise (1) Assistant Golf Operations Manager, (15) Part-time associates, and (40) volunteers
Job Requirements
  • PGA A-1, (Head Golf Professional) Member of PGA and completion of PGA golf professional training program and must maintain certification.
  • 5 Years experience managing golf course programs and operations as a PGA Professional.
  • You must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Lead starters, marshals, golf shop attendants, and cart staff.
  • Maintain inventory for golf shop merchandise and supplies.
  • Prepare reports on rounds played, sales, and staffing.

JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions.  Specified criteria may vary by Department.
