Job description

Position Description: The GVR Golf Shop Assistant position plays an integral part in providing an exceptional experience to all guests who visit the property. Controlling communication, coordination, and execution within all areas of GVRs operation are the most important aspects in ensuring a memorable experience for all of our guests. Being aware of your surroundings at all times and proactively addressing the needs of our staff and guests alike is essential to the overall success of our property. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Execution of daily operations and objectives of the Golf Shop.
Greeting each guest properly according to GVR standards, anticipate their needs, and sending them off with a fond farewell.
Actively assisting guests with their needs and upselling to achieve high guest satisfaction, as well as monthly merchandise sales goals.
Proactively participating in daily Merchandising/Display/Restocking of the Golf Shop.
Maintaining GVR presentation, & cleanliness standards of the Golf Shop.
Following daily bank and cash handling protocol.
Communicating, coordinating, and executing daily tasks within all areas of the Golf Department.
Pace of Play Management: Monitor GPS, coordinate with the On-Course Host, and take necessary action to ensure 4-hour, 30-minute pace of play policy is upheld.
Maintains an active role in understanding the overall golf operation, communication systems, and procedures of GVR.
Actively promoting GVRs goals and objectives to all guests.
Manages and assists the starters and outside service staff with their responsibilities.
Assists with tournament/outing set-up and execution.Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
Other reasonable duties as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR QUALIFICATIONMust be at least 18 years of age
Must have a valid driver's license
Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Proficient at Microsoft Office, Golf POS Systems, and technological applications
Previous experience in a golf related service position is preferred
Must have full-time availability (40 hours per week) for the Golf Season
Must be knowledgeable about the game of golf, expectations of guests, and willing to learn the nuances of a golf operation at a first-class golf club
Available weekdays, weekends, holidays, and AM/PM shifts up to 8-12 hours in length when neededPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
Outstanding customer service skills.
Effective communication, teamwork, and work ethic.
Punctual, honest, trustworthy, and reliable in preforming duties with minimum supervision.
High-level of personal presentation, awareness, and organization.
Can work variable weekdays, weekends, holidays, hours, and shifts up to 8-12 hours in length, if needed.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Able to stand for extended periods of time.
Adaptable to working outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.).
Safety conscious and responsible care of company property.
COMPENSATION AND ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:
