Cable Dahmer Automotive is seeking a skilled and motivated GM Diesel Technician to join our growing service department. If you have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining GM diesel trucks, take pride in delivering high-quality work, and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including Duramax diesel systems.
Perform maintenance and repairs on engine, transmission, drivetrain, suspension, steering, braking, and electrical systems.
Use factory diagnostic equipment and follow GM service procedures.
Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs accurately and efficiently.
Perform inspections and recommend needed repairs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Document repairs thoroughly and communicate findings with service advisors.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a diesel technician, preferably with GM vehicles.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with Duramax diesel engines and GM factory scan tools is preferred.
ASE certifications are a plus.
GM certification is preferred but not required.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced shop environment.
