Job Description
Verisk is seeking a Global Protection Services Analyst to join our Global Protection Services (GPS) team in Lehi, UT. This role reports directly to GPS. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the enterprise's health, safety, and security policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be tasked with reviewing global intelligence feeds for safety/security incidents that may affect Verisk employees, travelers, and facilities. You will be responsible for regional access control, security alerts, and the implementation of proactive strategies aligned with GPS's overall mission. The successful candidate will assist in investigations and policy development to ensure the health, wellness, and safety of Verisk employees. Under the guidance of GPS leadership, you will collaborate with the Lehi management team and human resources to ensure that overall safety, security, and employee wellness programs are prioritized.
Responsibilities
  • Perform facility assessments, evaluating inherent risks, mitigation actions, and remaining residual risks to the safety and security of Verisk global facilities.
  • Liaison with facility leads and BU managers in preparation for crisis incidents, which can include increased geopolitical tensions and civil unrest situations.
  • Research, create, and brief risk assessments and traveler protocols for employees traveling to high-risk locations.
  • Conduct and assist in corporate investigations as needed.
  • Monitor daily intelligence platforms and analyze potential impact to employees, offices, and events. Escalate and action items as necessary without delay.
  • Review, update, and ensure compliance with the Health Safety & Security Policy and Playbook.
  • Support the Corporate-wide emergency notification system and become proficient in use and understanding of the platform. Provide training and support to local facility/BU's notification system administrators to ensure they have timely messaging capability. Ensure that administration rights are provided appropriately (by BU or facility).
  • Assist with Verisk's Security access control and CCTV systems.
  • Execute regular audits of ID cards to ensure company ID cards are activated and deactivated.
  • Assists with Verisk events and executive safety and support planning.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • 24/7 availability to respond to off-hours incidents as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in global incident response, crisis management, and support preferred.
  • Experience as a first responder, military, law enforcement, or emergency management is a plus
  • Maintains confidentiality of all GPS matters and support to executives.
  • Superior organization and written communication skills, coupled with strong technical writing and/or editorial skills and the ability to develop, document, and maintain methodologies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across business disciplines. Must be able to take leadership directions, execute to tasks assigned, and respond to requests without delay.
  • Proactive and engaged self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking and strong analytical skills. Take ownership of tasks. Engages GPS team members and supports collaborative team priorities.
  • Analytical, consulting, presentation, and project management skills preferred.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects with minimal supervision and meet aggressive deadlines is essential.
  • Willing and able to travel on short notice and support on-site security events.
  • Knowledge of security management, business operations, risk management, response management, executive protection support, and physical security assessments.
  • Experience in maintaining case management systems, evidence collection, report preparations, and documentation of substantiated findings preferred.
  • Knowledge of threat management, facility assessments, and evaluating inherent risks preferred.
