Role Summary
Rowan Digital Infrastructure is seeking a Director, Program Management to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that enable our hyperscale data center growth strategy. This individual contributor role is responsible for system design, governance, reporting, and performance management across large-scale infrastructure programs.
The successful candidate will combine deep technical knowledge with exceptional program management skills to deliver transformational projects that support Rowan's mission of sustainable, efficient, and scalable data center delivery.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 30% for project site visits and company gatherings.
Location: Denver, CO or Seattle, WA (hybrid 3 days in-office role)
Compensation: $160K - $205K (Offers Bonus)
Essential Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage end-to-end project business plans for hyperscale data center initiatives, including site due diligence, planning, marketing, and lifecycle management
  • Implement and manage centralized project tracking systems and reporting tools, while standardizing workflows for task orders, approvals, and documentation; drive adoption of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and governance
  • Partner with internal teams (Sites, Energy & Water, Engineering, Construction, Business Development, Finance, Economic Development) to align technical, operational, and commercial priorities
  • Track project performance against schedule, cost, and quality baselines, and lead post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and apply insights for continuous improvement
  • Cut through complexity to define goals and metrics with speed, using deep technical judgment to shape project evaluations, technology reviews, and strategic decisions-building consensus without burdening teams with heavy process
  • Drive comprehensive risk analysis and mitigation for large-scale data center projects, anticipating technical and delivery risks early, aligning stakeholders on response strategies, and ensuring resilience through contingency planning and real-time monitoring
  • Own executive-level communications, including Plans of Record, status updates, and strategic recommendations

Education, Skills, and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, real estate, or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: data center or network capacity planning, data center or network infrastructure program/project management, or related technical fields
  • Technical understanding of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (e.g., network connectivity, data centers, hardware, software)
  • Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases, and communicating results across the organization
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments with high ambiguity
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with financial modeling, vendor management, and global supply chain strategies is a plus
