                           The Global Product Manager reports to the Director of Sales and may have  direct reports and/or manage 3rd party creative teams. The ideal candidate for this role is highly motivated, has strong business acumen, analytical capabilities and the ability to think critically and comfortable working in a fast paced team oriented environment.

This position is a key team member of the marketing and strategy team, responsible for leadership and execution of our key global marketing and pricing programs:

To ensure success, the Marketing Manager must possess the following attributes: strong business acumen, analytical and leadership skills, ability to work with multiple end markets and regions, solid project management skills, flexible and responsive.

Accountabilities:

  •  Develop and lead Global Marketing and Communications strategy and execution; Process owner for the New Product launch process; Coordinate and Support New Product launches and associated content; Perform Market analysis to support and inform strategic and business plans;
  • Establish analytics to capture market and company performance trends on sales, orders, and share.
  • Lead creative team members to develop and deploy digital strategy, branding, advertising, and website development.
  • Coordinate and attend teams for Global Trade shows and event management.
  •  Process owner for pricing; Lead price planning, examining, evaluating, and summarizing the strategic, financial, and administrative implications of proposed pricing policies and actions.
  • Establish a performance management structure with sales to follow-up on relevant pricing targets.
  • Support the Sales organization in all pricing related aspects of business decision-making process.
  •  Ensure product line readiness to meet portfolio strategy and support the overall business strategy. Assure overall bookings growth plans are established and met through cost-effective development and implementation of congruent marketing and selling plans to exceed company financial targets.
  • Provide business, sales, technical leadership, integrity, training, expertise, responsiveness, and assure continuity of the same high standards from all line and staff functions in Sales and Marketing for competitive advantage.
  • Maintain selling price structures and manage selling / marketing costs to support the minimum overall pre-tax margin.
  • Identify customer information needs and ensure fulfillment through effective structure, process, programs, staffing, and communications for world-class global producer.
  • Create an outside-in, results and solution oriented culture in Sales and Marketing in order to quickly identify and execute on new market, product and alliance ideas to meet growth requirements.
  • Assure the selection and development of the best people to deliver results in line with company goals.
  • Seek and provide recommendations on strategic direction, new business opportunities, and product or company mergers and acquisitions as part of a strategic development team and in line with the company’s growth targets.

Qualification    Education and/or Experience:

Requirements: Bachelor degree in business or engineering and a minimum of five years direct, multi-business unit experience in sales/marketing and general management. Strong leadership, people management, team direction, and communication skills required to effect positive results at all levels of an organization. Experience in the chemical industry a plus.

                        Technical Skills:

Negotiations, technical solution selling, mechanical principles, chemical industry experience financial analysis, personal computers, and related software.

                        Language Skills:

Strong abilities in both written and verbal presentation are critical. Multi-linguistic capabilities are desirable. Highest level of professionalism is required with exposure to all levels of business interactions. Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret all manner of business, technical, and legal documents or communication.

                        Nature of Activity:

                        Highly visible interaction in all facets of business activity at conceptual, developmental, and

implementation stages. Must be willing to do 40% + focused travel. Some international travel will be required.

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
