What We Are Looking For

The Global Managing Director is responsible for driving enterprise revenue development and growth, opportunity capture, contract awards, and longterm client value across Ceres’ Global entities. This role leads the execution layer of Ceres’ growth and capture strategy ensuring pipeline conversion, win rates, and revenue performance are delivered with discipline and predictability.

This position is a direct peer to the Managing Director, Business & Government Relations (Mission Development). While Mission Development focuses on strategic positioning, emerging markets, government engagement, and early opportunity shaping, the Global Managing Director, Growth is accountable for turning those opportunities into executable pursuits, capture, contract awards, and sustained growth.

The Global Managing Director reports to the CEO but will also take direction from the President; collaborates closely with the Mission Development and Government Relations leader and leads and manages functional lines of business in Business Development, Client Services, and Sales.  They will be setting direction, aligning teams and resources, and holding individuals under command accountable across this defined piece of the growth cycle.

What You Will Do

Revenue Ownership & Commercial Performance

  • Drive early price-to-win strategy and competitive positioning throughout the capture lifecycle including deal structure, contract negotiations, and closure in partnership with other responsible executives.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility through disciplined CRM governance.

Capture Strategy & Business Development Leadership

  • Set capture/proposal strategy and priorities across federal, state, and local pursuits.
  • Provide direction, oversight, and accountability to Business Development, Client Services, and Capture/Proposal responsible leaders for opportunity execution.
  • Lead and enforce Go/No Go decision discipline tied to win probability, margin, and strategic fit.
  • Partner with Mission Development to transition shaped opportunities into qualified, winnable pursuits.
  • Ensure alignment between Ceres’ Operations, Estimating, and Finance to deliver executable wins.

Capture/Proposal Strategy Oversight

  • Partner closely with the Proposal Leader to ensure proposals reflect capture strategy, pricing, and value proposition.
  • Provide executive oversight during major pursuit reviews to strengthen proposal quality, pricing alignment, and win probability.
  • Lead postaward and postloss reviews to strengthen pursuit performance over time.

  • Demonstrated track record of driving measurable growth, including successful capture of large-scale contracts and consistent revenue expansion.
  • Deep expertise in public sector procurement, including strong understanding of federal, state, and local government contracting environments and processes.
  • Proven ability to lead through senior functional leaders, influencing outcomes through Business Development, Client Services, Capture/Proposals and Operations.
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder influence, with the ability to engage credibly with clients, partners, and internal leadership teams.

You will spend significant time making decisive Go/NoGo calls, developing new business, steering capture/proposal strategy, aligning crossfunctional teams, and ensuring pursuits are both winnable and executable. Priorities will shift, timelines will compress, and success will be measured by contract awards and sustained client growth, not activity.

This role is best suited for a leader who thrives in complexity, leads through others, and takes full ownership of commercial outcomes.
