RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages multiple project teams and their objectives, driving team engagement and execution toward milestone and project success in order to complete projects on time, on scope, and on budget
  • Utilizes the tools of project management to support key activities including planning, project risk management, communications, execution of the design control process, and financial oversight. Given strategic direction, this person may develop new project management tools.
  • Drives cross-functional teams to common goals by understanding the product development process and governing teams accordingly, fostering team resourcefulness, conflict-resolution, and creativity to solve challenging problems by motivating peers and facilitating effective team environments
  • Prioritizes project activities within the teams, seeks buy-in from stakeholders, and escalates issues at appropriate times
  • Collaborates for important decision making, identifying the appropriate levels of input
  • Seeks and delivers feedback with appropriate candor to enhance team performance
  • Eliminates or minimizes project risks by eliciting key risks and potential solutions from stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Understands the financial impacts of projects, return on investment (ROI), cost estimation, and forecasted timelines
  • Communicates project progress and seeks input with executive leadership at project stage gates
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or a relevant field preferred.


Experience

  • 4+ years of project management or related experience in a relevant industry

Certification

  • PMP certification, preferred
