Job description

Business Development Representative (BDR) – North America

Guardian Bandsaws | Inside Sales | Industrial / Capital Equipment.
Guardian is growing across North America and looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive the front end of our sales process.
This role is focused on creating real customer opportunities, engaging manufacturers, food processors, and industrial operations to understand their needs and move them toward demonstrations and proposals.
You’re not selling equipment. You’re helping customers improve safety, productivity, and total cost of ownership.
What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Responding to inbound leads and convert interest into qualified opportunities.
  • Proactively prospect and build target account pipelines across industrial sectors.
  • Identify and engage decision-makers (engineering, maintenance, operations, safety).
  • Ask the right questions to qualify applications, needs, and fit.
  • Drive momentum toward video demonstrations and proposals.
  • Delivering compelling video demonstrations to decision makers.
  • Putting together customer proposals.
  • Partner closely with the sales team to prioritize and advance opportunities.
  • Track activity, pipeline, and follow-ups in CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Support marketing campaigns, trade shows, and outreach initiatives.
  • Help build and execute targeted account and prospecting strategies.
  • Provide inside support to the sales team.

What Success Looks Like:
  • Consistent creation of qualified opportunities.
  • Video demonstrations scheduled and completed.
  • Pipeline growth and strong forward momentum.
  • High-quality CRM activity and follow-up discipline.
  • Meaningful contribution to revenue generation.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Early career to ~5 years’ experience in sales, customer-facing roles, or similar.
  • Recent graduates welcome, especially with internships, co-ops, or part-time sales experience.
  • Strong communicator—comfortable on phone, email, video, and LinkedIn.
  • Willingness to prospect, ask questions, and engage new customers.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven.
  • Organized with strong follow-up habits.
  • Interest in learning industrial environments and technical products.
  • CRM experience helpful, but not required.

About the Role:
  • 100% inside sales position based in Omaha, Nebraska (in office required).
  • Direct involvement with real customer applications—not just lead passing.
  • High level of ownership over activity, pipeline, and results.
  • Opportunity over time for top performers to move into Account Representative roles.'

About Guardian:
Guardian is a global leader in vision-based cutting machinery safety, trusted across food processing, manufacturing, foundry, and aerospace industries.
  • 1,000+ units installed.
  • 9+ years operating.
  • Proven track record of zero life-changing injuries.
We design and build everything in-house, helping customers operate safer and more efficiently.
Compensation:
  • Base salary plus performance incentives.
  • Incentives tied to opportunities, demonstrations, pipeline, and revenue contribution.
  • Increased earning potential as impact grows.

Why Join:
This is a chance to be part of a growing business where your work directly drives sales outcomes. You’ll gain exposure to industrial customers, technical applications, and a sales process that goes beyond basic lead generation.
For those who perform, there is a path into broader sales responsibility, including Account Representative roles.

If you’re motivated, comfortable reaching out to customers, and looking to build real sales experience—we’d like to hear from you.
