What you'll do
At Docusign, our events portfolio plays a critical role in customer engagement, pipeline generation, executive relationships, and brand experience. We are seeking a strategic leader to transform and scale our event technology ecosystem while helping define the future of AI-powered event experiences. This individual will operate at the intersection of events, marketing technology, data, AI, and customer experience. They will partner closely across Marketing, Creative, and external technology vendors to create scalable, intelligent, and measurable event experiences.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Vice President, Experiential Events.
Responsibility
  • Define and execute the vision for Docusign's event technology ecosystem
  • Develop a multi-year roadmap that aligns event experiences with company growth objectives
  • Evaluate, select, and optimize platforms supporting registration, attendee engagement, meetings, content delivery, badging, lead capture, mobile app, and event analytics
  • Serve as the executive owner for key event technology vendors and relationships
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI to improve attendee experiences, personalization, content and creative design recommendations, networking, meeting matching, and post-event engagement
  • Partner with Marketing Operations and Analytics teams to introduce AI-driven insights and automation into event workflows
  • Explore emerging technologies that enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency
  • Establish best practices and governance around the use of AI within event programs
  • Partner with Event Marketing teams to define event measurement standards
  • Improve visibility into event influence, engagement, pipeline creation, and customer outcomes
  • Create executive dashboards and reporting frameworks that connect event investments to business results
  • Drive integration and data integrity between event platforms and systems including Salesforce, marketing automation, CDPs, and reporting environments
  • Create scalable processes that support a growing global event portfolio
  • Reduce manual effort through automation and workflow optimization
  • Establish technology governance, documentation, and operational standards
  • Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and data governance requirements
  • Lead and mentor a team of contractors responsible for event systems, registration operations, attendee technology, and platform administration
  • Build a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and technology investments

Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring
Basic
  • 12+ years of experience in event technology, marketing technology, digital experience, marketing operations, or related disciplines
  • Experience leading technology strategy for large-scale B2B event portfolios
  • Experience with event technology platforms and ecosystem architecture
  • Experience integrating event platforms with Salesforce, Iterable, marketing automation, CRM, and analytics systems
  • Experience influencing cross-functional leaders and driving organizational change
  • Experience managing external vendors and technology investments

Preferred
  • Experience leveraging AI technologies to improve customer engagement, personalization, operational efficiency, or event experiences
  • Experience with platforms such as Swoogo, Cvent, RainFocus, Jifflenow, Salesforce, Marketo, HubSpot, Zoom Events, ON24, or similar technologies
  • Experience with mobile app platforms such as Amego, Eventbase, EventMobi, or similar technologies
  • Experience building data strategies and measurement frameworks for executive audiences
  • Experience supporting global event portfolios across multiple regions
  • Experience leading teams through digital transformation initiatives
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills

Wage Transparency
Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $164,700.00 - $266,000.00 base salary
Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $158,300.00 - $223,625.00 base salary
Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $158,300.00 - $232,575.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for the following:
  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
  • Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
