Job description

Culinary and Nutrition Manager Opportunity 

Rosewalk at Lutherwoods Assisted Living

The Culinary Manager leads all aspects of culinary operations within the assisted living community, creating exceptional dining experiences that promote resident satisfaction, well-being, and quality of life. This hands-on leader oversees food preparation, menu execution, kitchen operations, and presentation while ensuring meals are nutritious, appealing, and tailored to the needs and preferences of residents. The Culinary Manager also leads, develops, and inspires the culinary team while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.

Skills Needed:

  • Leadership: The ability to lead and motivate others to follow proper safety, health, sanitation and food preparation with a focus on cooking, plating and service for our residents.
  • Teamwork: The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care and food service for our residents.
  • Experience: Proven experience in leadership, hiring, training, evaluating and scheduling kitchen staff.
  • Supportive Presence: Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for our residents.

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of experience as Culinary Manager.
  • Certification in a Dietary Manager Course or associate’s degree in culinary/hospitality management
  • Must have current and valid ServSafe Manager’s Food Safety Certificate.
