Internship Program Requirements
  • Education: Currently pursuing a four-year degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and summer 2028.
  • Academic performance: Minimum overall GPA of 2.8.
  • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location.
  • Geographic flexibility: Must be located within commuting distance to Decatur or Chicago, IL. Housing is not provided for this position.
  • Availability: Must be available for a 12-week internship from mid-May through early August 2027.
  • Background check: Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • Work authorization: ADM is unable to provide work visa sponsorship for this position.

Job Summary
ADM's Global Communications team is seeking a Corporate Communications Intern who will collaborate with a global team of 60 professional communicators and work closely with internal clients across ADM's business. You'll gain hands-on experience in corporate communications, social media, and public relations, with opportunities to:
  • Create engaging multimedia content for internal and external audiences, including written, video, presentation, and social media materials.
  • Develop communication strategies that help leaders effectively tell ADM's story.
  • Contribute to social media campaigns that enhance ADM's brand and reach key audiences.
  • Support executive communications to promote business initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with ADM's Global Communications team to craft the company's narrative for external audiences.
  • Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies and messages for company initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the team to optimize the use of communication channels, including social media and press releases.
  • Create internal communication content to highlight business achievements and boost employee engagement.
  • Support storytelling for senior leaders, connecting with both internal and external audiences.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across geographies and business units.
  • Expand your understanding of ADM's history, strategy, culture, products, and services.
