About Us
Albany State University is a fully accredited senior unit of the University System of Georgia. Location
Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 209.
Job Summary
Assist the Athletics Strategic Communications Office with game-day statistics, media relations, website management, and event operations. This position provides hands-on experience in collegiate athletics communications and media operations.
Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with official scorekeeping and NCAA statistics software during athletic contests.
  • Compile and distribute game statistics, notes, and reports.
  • Assist with maintaining athletics website content, including schedules, rosters, results, and stories.
  • Support media relations efforts before, during, and after athletic events.
  • Assist with press box operations and media hospitality.
  • Help coordinate interviews and postgame media requests.
  • Maintain statistical records and archives.
  • Support special events, press conferences, and awards programs. ¿ Assist with photography and content collection as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be a current Albany State student enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for special events.
