Job Description
SAIC is seeking a Command and Control (C2) Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting Plans, Policies, and Operations (PP&O) South located in Norfolk, VA and training team located in Virginia Beach, VA. The SME will serve as a Command Post Systems Advisor (CPSA) for PP&O South and surrounding commands.
Job Duties:
  • Installation, configuration of Windows 11 workstations for joining a domain and troubleshoot any issue that arises.
  • Familiarity with JOPES and configuration of user access with Secure Global Desktop (SGD).
    Updating workstations via Remote Desktop Protcol (RDP).
  • Manage workstations in Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with JFRGII, creation of admin and user accounts and on this note.
  • Provide support for current and future Marine Corps C2 systems to include Global Command and Control System (GCCS), Tactical Common Operational Picture (COP) Server (TCS), Tactical COP TCW (TCW), Joint Tactical COP Workstation (JTCW)/Command and Control Personal Computer (C2PC), Tactical Data Oriented Layer (TDOL), Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) software suite, and Agile Server/Client.
  • Ability to assist with the setup of new hardware/software (HW/SW) and deliver clear, detailed documentation of installation processes.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting system and application issues, with the ability to document fixes and/or workarounds for future use.
  • Experience documenting and tracking bugs/issues using tools such as Jira and Microsoft Teams.
  • Capable of providing Joint Task Analysis (JTA) feedback for system administrator and operator tasks related to GCCS and COP systems.
  • Able to pull maps and geospatial data from NGA (National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency) and other sources to support training initiatives.
    Able to review and edit informational text in training materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Able to participate in new equipment training (NET) dry runs to evaluate and refine training materials.
  • Familiar with and capable of assisting in Deployable Ground Support Integration and Testing (DGSITs) to ensure system functionality and deployment readiness.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience. Four (4) years of additional experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Experience must include any combination of the following: GCCS, TCS, TCW, JTCW/C2PC, TDOL, JFRGII.
  • Experience with Windows 11, Red Hat Linux System Administration, and VMware.

Required Security Clearance:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Required Certification:
  • Must obtain IAT Level II certification (e.g. CCNA Security, CySA+, Security+, GSEC, etc.) within 6 months of hire.

Nice-to-have Qualifications:
  • Experience with Aviation Command and Control System (AC2S), J-REAP C / Link-16 protocols, Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), Joint Automated Deep Operation Coordination System (JADOCS), Joint Battle Command Platform (JBC-P), or Friendly Force Tracking (FFT).
