Description Under general supervision, the GIS WEB Specialist performs a variety of professional and technical duties that supports McKenzie County's ArcGIS Online public resources and internal ArcGIS Server / Portal resources. This position is located in Watford City, ND and scheduled for Monday - Friday. Essential Job Functions Publish GIS vector data and annual imagery as ESRI REST services utilizing ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Desktop applications Utilize the components of ESRI's Enterprise Portal software to improve the user functionality, performance, and security of internal and public GIS data resources Develop ArcGIS Online and Enterprise Portal web maps and apps that support various county department workflows / data, county field staff access and collection, and transparency to the public Configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise deployment through settings within SQL Server SDE connections, ArcGIS Server, Portal, Data Stores, IIS, security certificates, and other web software components As part of a small GIS Team, the GIS WEB Specialist will also assist with...

Data editing to support county workflows in 911 addressing, Public Works, Planning & Zoning, etc. Assisting County staff and members of the public with varying information requests such as address verification, maps, data, and software support Assist users scanning large format prints Support GPS & mobile device use for checking information in the field Field data collection Participate in various GIS user groups & training opportunities to stay current with GIS technology tools and software options Other duties as assigned for business needs Additional Skills Applied Daily Understanding of County government functions such as 911 addressing, emergency response, Public Works, Planning and Zoning, etc. Ability to work on several projects, issues, or requests simultaneously, with little direction Extensive knowledge of computers, computer programs, scanning equipment, plotters, and various office machines Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and customer service Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Valid drivers license Reporting to Watford City, ND office daily at the required schedule time Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred in GIS, geography, information management, computer science, or a degree with a minor in GIS 5 years of experience required with GIS Web configuration and trouble shooting 3 years of experience with ESRI web/mobile application development resources 3 years creating processes that automate workflows using Model Builder, Python, Arcade, or other programming languages 3 years maintaining a versioned RDBMS preferably in Microsoft SQL Server 3 years of experience maintaining, manipulating, analyzing, and converting data in various formats and coordinate systems Physical requirements and working conditions Must possess the ability to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, copier, files, telephone and fax; maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone.
