In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and enhance GIS-enabled applications, APIs, and integrations that support critical business operations. You will play a key role in software architecture, development, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software applications with a focus on GIS solutions.
  • Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing applications using modern software engineering practices.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, and developers to deliver technical solutions.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and debugging to ensure software quality.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance improvements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and design specifications.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous delivery initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience or 16 years with a HS diploma/equivalent
  • Solid software engineering experience developing enterprise applications.
  • Strong experience with Esri technologies, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS REST APIs, and ArcGIS Maps SDKs.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, .NET, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs, web services, and enterprise integrations.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture, design patterns, and secure coding practices.
  • Experience with SQL databases, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software development methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and automated deployment pipelines.
  • Esri Technical Certification(s) are a plus.
  • Experience building enterprise GIS solutions in large-scale environments.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
