Job Summary:
Resource Data is a company that has been designing and building innovative technology solutions for over 37 years. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead complex technical work, design and implement software systems, and enhance solution quality through collaboration and mentorship.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Contribute across the full application stack, including front-end interfaces, back-end services, APIs, integrations, and database layers using modern development frameworks
โ€ข Design and develop modern front-end applications and user interfaces using React and related front-end technologies
โ€ข Design, optimize, and maintain normalized relational database schemas independently
โ€ข Perform high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and overall solution integrity
โ€ข Drive adoption of source control best practices, including code reviews and CI/CD pipeline integration
โ€ข Contribute to requirements analysis, refine high-level needs, and translate them into actionable development plans
โ€ข Identify opportunities to improve technical solutions, delivery approaches, and client outcomes
โ€ข Support estimation, scoping, and proposal development activities
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
โ€ข Experience building front-end applications with React, including component-based architecture, state management, and API integration
โ€ข Full-stack development experience using modern back-end frameworks, especially Microsoft .NET Framework and .NET Core / .NET, including development of APIs, services, and enterprise applications
โ€ข Proven ability to lead the design and implementation of complex or ambiguous systems with limited direction
โ€ข Strong judgment in making architectural and technical tradeoffs across performance, scalability, security, and delivery constraints
โ€ข Advanced experience with source control systems, branching strategies, and code review practices
โ€ข Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to establish and uphold testing, documentation, and code quality standards
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments
โ€ข Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern application architectures
โ€ข Background in the natural resource management or environmental services sector
โ€ข Experience designing distributed systems or microservices architectures
โ€ข Strong background in relational database design and performance optimization
โ€ข Exposure to Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery models
