Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day
The GIS Service Supervisor reports into the Grid Technology Service Substation Upgrades business. The successful applicant will be involved with Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) Service projects that will include assembly, test and commissioning, maintenance, service, repair, refurbishment and upgrades for the install base across North America.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Responsibility for supervising and coordinating GIS Service projects at the job site.
  • Undertake troubleshooting and fault analysis of the GIS and associated equipment.
  • Managing and instructing contractors to perform GIS service work.
  • Interfacing with the customer and other partners to successfully complete the scope of work.
  • Working as part of a team to execute work in the field and ensure all field related issues are managed successfully.
  • Assist in the development of proposals related to GIS service scope, including planning, costing & manpower requirements.
  • Ensuring that all activity is performed in a timely, effective, safe and cost-efficient manner.
  • Provide support and customer service to customers and project partners.
What You Bring
  • 5+ year experience, technical knowledge and understanding of the Siemens Energy GIS portfolio present and vintage models.
  • Prior experience in GIS installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair is preferred but training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Siemens Energy HV GIS Certificate is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience of working on construction sites.
  • Have good knowledge of computer & Microsoft office skills.
  • Self-confidence, hardworking, teamwork, ordinated, dedicated.
  • Travel is required; up to 80% domestic and or as project required
