Build Something That Matters

At Gilson Graphics, we are more than a printing company. We are a team of problem-solvers, innovators, and craftspeople who help some of the world’s most recognized brands bring their ideas to life.

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager who wants more than just another HR job. This is an opportunity to build, influence, and shape the future of HR within a growing organization.

If you’ve ever wanted the chance to create processes, improve culture, influence leadership decisions, and build an HR function the right way—with support from senior leadership—this role may be exactly what you’re looking for.

This position reports directly to executive leadership and offers a rare opportunity to establish and scale HR practices that will support the business for years to come.

Why This Role Is Different

This is not a maintenance role.

This is a builder role.

You’ll be joining an organization that recognizes the importance of strong HR leadership and is committed to investing in the function. The foundation has been laid, and now we’re looking for the right person to help take it to the next level.

Highlights include:

  • Direct access to senior leadership
  • Opportunity to build and modernize HR processes
  • Significant influence on business decisions
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive meaningful change
  • Opportunity to grow your career as the organization grows

We are looking for someone who is confident enough to speak up, challenge assumptions, and bring thoughtful solutions to the table.

What You’ll Do

As the Human Resources Manager, you will lead all aspects of HR for approximately 200 employees across multiple functions.

Responsibilities include:

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Partner with leaders to align people strategies with business objectives
  • Coach managers through employee relations, performance management, and organizational challenges
  • Develop workforce planning and talent strategies
  • Drive organizational effectiveness initiatives

  • Lead recruiting efforts across all levels of the organization
  • Improve onboarding and employee integration programs
  • Support leadership development and succession planning
  • Create employee development opportunities

Employee Relations

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders
  • Conduct workplace investigations and resolve employee concerns
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of policies and practices
  • Foster a positive and accountable workplace culture

HR Operations amp; Compliance

  • Oversee benefits administration, leave management, and compliance programs
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Develop and improve HR policies and procedures

Building the Future

  • Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes
  • Create scalable HR programs that support growth
  • Develop meaningful metrics and reporting
  • Help shape the future structure of the HR department

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Experience managing employee relations and workplace investigations
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
  • Experience partnering directly with leaders and influencing decisions
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing, production, or distribution experience
  • Experience as an HR department of one
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
  • Experience leading organizational change and process improvement initiatives

Success in This Role Looks Like

You are:

  • Comfortable challenging the status quo
  • A strong communicator who can build trust at every level
  • Business-minded and solutions-oriented
  • Able to move between strategic conversations and day-to-day execution
  • Energized by building rather than maintaining
  • Confident enough to respectfully push back when needed

Compensation amp; Benefits

Gilson Graphics offers a competitive compensation package including:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Professional development opportunities
