POSITION DESCRIPTION
OBJECTIVE
As a member of the Gilson North Ave. press team, a 2nd Pressman is primarily responsible for the set-up, operation, and preventative maintenance of the Man Roland 6/c – color printing press in a supportive role to consistently meet or exceed press production requirements.
SUPERVISOR
Position reports to the Gilson - North Ave. Head Pressman and the North Ave. Director of Operations
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Must effectively support and take direction from the Head Pressman to achieve or exceed required production goals
• Must be committed to continuous improvement and efficiency
REQUIREMENTS
• To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to fulfill each role and perform each responsibility listed above
• Must possess intimate knowledge of job requirements, standard practices, required materials, techniques, and processes
• Must be able to bend and lift 25 lbs.
• Must perform other related duties as required
Education and Training Requirements
• High School degree or above, and/or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Willingness to participate in a variety of professional growth training programs
Experience
• Prior head pressman or 2nd pressman experience
Attitude
• Motivated as a self-starter
• High degree of detail and accuracy
• Demonstrated commitment to quality
Knowledge and Aptitude
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Pace software
