Job description

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, patient‑focused GI Procedure Scheduler to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating and scheduling gastrointestinal procedures, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and an excellent patient experience.

Key Responsibilities include:

Schedule GI procedures and follow-up appointments in accordance with provider availability and clinical guidelines. Verify insurance requirements, obtain prior authorizations, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed. Communicate clearly with patients regarding prep instructions, procedure details, and appointment logistics. Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to maintain an efficient workflow. Update and maintain accurate patient records in the scheduling system. Handle incoming calls, messages, and scheduling requests in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

Previous medical scheduling or healthcare office experience preferred. Knowledge of GI procedures or specialty scheduling is a plus but not mandatory. Strong communication and customer service skills. Positive and highly motivated to work in teams. High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
