Job description

Schedule & Compensation
  • Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM (4-hour evening shift)
  • Competitive Wages
  • Weekly Attendance Bonus available for employees who work all scheduled shifts on time

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate the leather or fabric cutting machine efficiently and accurately to cut patterns for sewing.
  • Load rolls of fabric or leather onto the cutting machine.
  • Inspect materials for quality, flaws, or defects before running cutting programs.
  • Accurately cut fabric or leather according to patterns loaded in the cutting system.
  • Follow all production specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and a safe, organized work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to read and use a ruler accurately.
  • Strong visual accuracy to inspect materials and patterns.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Experience operating a fabric cutting machine (Gerber Z or similar systems preferred).
  • Ability to read and understand cutting patterns and yardage requirements.
  • Quality-focused with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet established performance goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong reliability.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift (4 hours).

Safety Requirements

  • Temporary, short-term role created to support production backlog.
  • Employment is at-will and will end when the project is completed.
