Job Description

Start as a General Worker to train and work in all departments! You're eligible to bid for open Assistant roles upon hire and then can eventually fill open machine operator roles later as they become available!

Compensation: Starting at $23.37/hour + premiums, including Double Time on Sunday's and Holidays!

Schedule: 4 on 4 off, every two weeks rotate from days to nights (5-5).

Duties

  • Responsible for following all plant and department specific safety and security rules, procedures, and programs.
  • Must wear all required personal protective equipment for all plant, department, and task specific requirements.
  • Attend required training on all OSHA and facility required Safety programs.
  • Responsible for reporting all injuries, near misses and property damage incidents to the Shift Supervisor prior to the end of the shift on the day of the incident.
  • Help in keeping the facility clean, i.e. sweeping, mopping white runs, wash stack racks, carts, walls and run the floor scrubber.
  • Responsibility to report to the Shift Supervisor any and all safety issues.
  • Train and work as a Rewind Assistant, Blown Film Assistant, Coater Assistant, or the Material Handler position as needed for production requirements.
  • Actively participate and support Continuous Improvements efforts, such as WCOM.
  • All other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • Able to perform all duties as spelled out in the Rewind Assistant, Blown Film Assistant, Coater Assistant, and Material Handler job descriptions.
  • A high school education or equivalency minimum.
  • Previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not a requirement
  • Continue to upgrade skills by attending internal training and meetings.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand/walk continuously, operate hand and foot controls frequently, bend /stoop/reach frequently, lift up to 50lbs frequently, climbing stairs and ladders occasionally.
