Job description

General Utility
The General Utility position is a basic labor job that can be located in several different functional areas of the plant. In this position the employee will be completing several tasks that are specific to that area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Rotating and relieving other general utility positions

  • Housekeeping and ensuring area are clean and free of debris

  • Moving precious materials to and from the area using a pallet jack

  • Being a back-up for "skilled" positions

  • Other duties as assigned

Human safety, Food safety and Paperwork requirements:
  • Record precious material moved to and from the area

  • Record trash wasted move from the area

  • Complete other paperwork as requested

  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP'S)

  • Follow all plant and area safety rules and regulations

  • Follow all plant rules and polices

Physical requirements:
  • Able to stand 8-10 hours per day

  • Able to bend or lift 8-10 hours per day

  • Able to lift 25 to 35 pounds repetitively

  • Able to do repetitive wrist motions/demonstrate good range of motion in wrists

  • Able to work overtime as required

  • Able to wear rubberized personal protective equipment
