Job Summary

Responsible for analyzing, developing, documenting, and tracking clinical content. Develop and oversee completion of project plans and schedules, and track the progress of content development and build, including remediation efforts, enhancement, and demand projects. Subject matter expert for the assigned clinical function/area, and provide guidance and mentorship to other informatics specialists.
Essential Functions
-Manages the process for content development, standardization, coordination, maintenance, and archiving.
-Manages and coordinates the gathering and synthesis of current clinical content, as well as the development of new clinical content.
-Manages content development and helps to inform and build activities between and among work groups.
-Leads assigned work groups and facilitates interactions and communication to arrive at solutions for content development and management.
-Provides coordination and direction to complete assigned clinical content tasks, produce required deliverables, track and resolve issues, and meet relevant project milestones according to the established timeline.


Qualifications

Job Description

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Informatics required.

  • Master's Degree in Nursing/Informatics preferred.

  • Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes.


Licenses and Certifications

  • Registered Nurse in Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.

  • Current nursing informatics certification required or to be attained within two-year period from hire. Certification must be maintained while employed in this position.

Experience

  • Experience in clinical informatics 5-7 years required.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Authority-level knowledge of clinical operations and related business processes.

  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. with flexibility and ability to prioritize

  • Proficient with standard office technologies and software.

  • Strategic and able to quickly understand and discuss situations and challenges.

  • Experience with Project Management.

  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent ability to collaborate across departments and disciplines.

  • Knowledge of clinical and/or revenue cycle workflows and health information technology to optimize electronic health record (EHR)-based health care delivery.

  • Uses problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate with clinical leaders, clinical informatics leaders, and Digital/IS staff on project work, and participate in committees that govern system use and modification.
