Overview

Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the Director of Information Systems, works with Director of Nursing, CIO, Physicians, department managers and staff to develop, implement, train, maintain EMR, as well as, implement, test, configure portal and POC with Physician Offices.

Demonstrates through behavior Decatur Morgan Hospital's mission, vision and values.

Responsibilities

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required: Demonstrates technical knowledge and abilities with:

  • Computer software, software design and development, hardware, equipment assembly and installation;
  • Installing, operating, adapting, diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in application software;
  • Oral and written communication;
  • Record and interpret information accurately;
  • Handle multiple duties simultaneously;
  • Use common sense, independent learning, and technical information to solve problems.
Qualifications

Education:

Requires general knowledge acquired through a four-year college education or equivalent experience.

Experience:  One to two years experience in a directly related Information System role desirable.  Previous experience in assigned business lines and/or healthcare setting highly desirable.
