We seek a motivated Senior Accountant to join our team and support our corporate accounting function. This role is crucial for managing the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, and ensuring accurate compilation and reporting of accounting data. You will liaise between the company and external parties, maintain reliable documentation, and manage transactions within our accounting systems. Additionally, you will prepare and analyze financial reports, create journal entries, and reconcile ledger accounts.
How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
  • Financial Data Analysis: Analyze a wide range of transaction data, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, time billing, Payroll, General Ledger, tax payments, and inventory movement.
  • Financial Reporting:Assist in preparing detailed financial information, including monthly and quarterly financial reports, weekly forecasts for the Management Team, and ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Month-End and Quarterly Close:Post journal entries for month-end and quarterly close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Account Reconciliation:Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Audit Support:Aid the Accounting Manager with annual financial audits by serving as the liaison with auditors.
  • Cross-Departmental Support:Provide support to various departments with transaction data and accounting summaries.
  • Special Projects:Assist with special financial projects on an ad hoc basis.
  • Variance Analysis: Perform variance analysis on account balances to identify trends and discrepancies.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or a similar work environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat, with experience in accounting software.
  • Familiarity with relevant accounting standards such as ASC 842 (Leases), ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers)
  • Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you:
  • CPA License.
  • SOX experience.
  • Experience with large-scale ERP systems (PLEX, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Background in cost accounting experience.
