Job description

Position Summary
The Boeing Analyst is responsible for the process of procuring chemical materials for the Chemico Distribution program at Chemico. The Analyst will also provide and receive communication with the Program Manager and Senior Supply Chain Analyst within the distribution team. Feedback will include vendor recommendation, reporting assistance and general discussion.
Responsibilities/Duties:
The Boeing Analyst is responsible for placing orders to fill customer requests, managing RFQ's and working within the program to achieve goals.
  • Create sales orders in Sage based on customer requests or requirements and sends quotes to appropriate customer
  • Support the customer by responding to RFQ's in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Track RFQ progress from request to customer receipt of quote.
  • Share tracking information promptly when requested or provide order statuses.
  • Create purchase orders in Sage based on customer requests or requirements and sends purchase order to appropriate supplier.
  • Work with suppliers to place and confirm orders.
  • Communicate vendor issues to Supply Chain and Boeing Program Manager.
  • Support the customer by placing orders in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Resolve issues holding up confirmation, i.e. providing credit card information, resolving pricing issues, etc.
  • Track order progress from placement to customer receipt.
  • Obtain tracking information promptly and document properly.
  • Update and maintain supplier contact information in Sage.
  • Update and maintain product information in Sage.
  • Participate in meetings and reporting as required.
  • Process receipts and sales in Sage.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required.

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, engineering or technical discipline and/or equivalent work experience in chemical/industrial environment preferred.
  • 2-5 years of technical experience in supply chain or chemical management requested.
  • Computer proficient with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and the internet required.
  • Familiarity with software applications including Sage, Ariba or similar programs
  • Maintains sense of urgency where required.
