Summary

A growing general contractor is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on ground-up multifamily projects from mobilization through closeout. This role works closely with the Superintendent and Project Management team to maintain schedules, coordinate trades, support quality control efforts, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily field operations on ground-up multifamily projects
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
  • Assist with 3-week look-ahead schedules and trade sequencing
  • Monitor project progress and communicate schedule impacts
  • Coordinate inspections, punch lists, and closeout activities
  • Review drawings and specifications to identify field conflicts
  • Support jobsite safety and maintain OSHA compliance
  • Coordinate material deliveries and jobsite logistics
  • Participate in subcontractor meetings and daily huddles
  • Maintain daily reports, field logs, and project documentation
  • Support turnover activities and quality control efforts
  • Work closely with Superintendents and Project Managers to maintain project goals

Requirements
  • 3–7+ years of construction experience required
  • Experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Lead Foreman, Field Engineer, or similar field role preferred
  • Ground-up multifamily experience required
  • Experience with podium, wrap, wood-frame, affordable housing, or mixed-use projects preferred
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and subcontractor coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced construction environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with urban infill or affordable housing projects
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
  • OSHA 30 preferred
  • Degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus
