Job description

Arrow Construction is now hiring experienced Construction laborers / Class A drivers (asphalt and/or concrete) for our office located in Manteca, CA. We specialize in wet and dry utilities, directional drilling, potholing, patch paving, and concrete restoration work throughout Northern California.
Responsibilities: 
  • A Class A Driver/Laborer is responsible for transporting goods and materials using heavy trucks or tractor-trailers, along with performing manual labor tasks as needed. 
  • Primary duties include driving long distances, adhering to traffic laws, ensuring the safe transport of cargo, and conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections. 
  • The driver ensures proper loading and unloading of materials, often assisting with the process to ensure weight limits and safety standards are met.
  • When not driving, the laborer performs a variety of physical tasks, such as site clean-up, material handling, and assisting with construction or maintenance projects.
  • This role requires a high level of physical stamina, as laborers must lift and move heavy objects, operate hand tools, and work in various weather conditions.

Requirements:
  • We are looking for a class A driver with asphalt/concrete hauling experience. 
  • Must be able to load and unload equipment and tie down. 
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in high heat and cold weather.
  • Job requires the following motions: stretching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, walking, standing, reaching and squatting.
  • Must be able to maintain acceptable attendance.
  • All qualified candidates must have a clean valid California Driver's License.
  • All applicants will be required to pass a drug, Pre-Employment physical, and background test.
