Job Title: General Accountant
Full-Time | On-Site | Manufacturing
Location: Sealy, Texas
$48,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
Adecco is assigning a local client recruiting for a detail-oriented and reliable General Accountant to support the financial operations of our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with multiple departments.


Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

  • Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions as needed

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare financial reports, summaries, and supporting documentation

  • Assist in tracking expenses, budgets, and cost analysis

  • Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audits

  • Assist with internal and external audits when required

Cross-Functional Support

  • Work closely with operations, purchasing, and management teams

  • Support inventory tracking and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment

  • Assist with process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

Administrative Support

  • Maintain organized financial files and records

  • Assist with additional finance or administrative tasks as assigned


Qualifications
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • 1+ year of accounting or finance experience

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems

Preferred:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of cost accounting or inventory accounting

  • Familiarity with ERP systems

  • Bilingual (English/Mandarin) is a plus
