Job Description:
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Business Analyst to provide support to senior resources on the team in areas of technical writing/review, research assistance, documentation preparation, and compile and drafting documentation for use in responses to requests. The Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements and developing a requirements document. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work closely with stakeholders, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and alignment with business goals.
Duties:
  • Elicit, document, and analyze business and system requirements for projects and initiatives.
  • Analyze and interpret requirements to ensure they are clear, consistent, and feasible.
  • Identify and elicit requirements from various stakeholders
  • Facilitate meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, gaps and challenges.
  • Create and maintain clear and concise requirements document
  • Communicate requirements effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to validate and prioritize requirements.
  • Review documents and provide technical edits and comments

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
  • Some post-secondary education in English, Science, or a related technical discipline, or a combination of relevant education and directly applicable professional experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Technical Writer
  • Proficient in requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).
  • Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office and excellent writing skills
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary Range:
Pay range information will be disclosed consistent with applicable state and local pay transparency laws once available. For this position, the anticipated salary range is $112,320.00-$120,050.00 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
