Job description

Quality Inspector / Gearbox Reverse Engineering

· Requires a good background in using measuring tools and equipment (OD Mics, Height Gage, ID Mics etc.) as well as calibrations of these tools. Individual should have knowledge in turning, grinding, milling and related good machining practice.

· Magnetic particle inspection Level II experience would be preferred. Would be able to interpret, evaluate and disposition the results in accordance with specifications. Willingness to learn if not already performing this activity.

· Ability to read and interpret drawing, follow routers, process sheets and work instructions. Ability to work with and understand tight tolerances and surface finishes.

· Ability to collect reverse engineering data (create a sketch and determine required information) from used gearing and gearbox parts for engineering and estimating purposes.

· Ability to troubleshoot and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

· Must be able willing to interact with customers regarding certification packages and other requests.

· Must be a team player who can work closely with Estimating, Sales and
