Hub Service Manager Energy Industries Central & Southern Europe

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead DCS modernization and lifecycle development across the Hub Central and Southern Europe. In this role, you will help turn installed base opportunities into service growth by combining technical expertise, commercial understanding, and strong cross-country collaboration.

This role requires flexibility and willingness to travel across Europe for short visits, sometimes at short notice. This position concerns a regional role and as such is open for candidates within one of the 14 countries of Energy Industries Hub Central & Southern Europe.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will drive DCS modernization activities across the Hub Central and Southern Europe and work closely with Local Divisions, global service teams, OPC centers, and other key stakeholders to accelerate service growth and lifecycle value creation.

Your main accountability will be to:
  • Lead the deployment of DCS modernization initiatives across the Hub in line with the global Energy Industries service strategy
  • Identify installed base opportunities, define upgrade paths, and support Local Divisions in shaping modernization roadmaps and proposals
  • Support sales execution by contributing technical expertise, capability planning, and customer engagement together with local sales teams
  • Drive the consistent use of ABB service tools and processes to improve installed base visibility, data quality, and decision-making
  • Build capabilities across the Hub through knowledge sharing, technical forums, webinars, and structured documentation
  • Champion ABB values in health, safety, integrity, and collaboration in all activities and interactions


Qualifications for the role

You are a collaborative and self-driven professional with strong technical expertise in automation and lifecycle management. Ideally, you bring:

  • Master's degree in Automation or Control Engineering, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering with significant relevant experience in ABB automation systems
  • Deep technical knowledge of ABB DCS lifecycle management, including promoted brands and heritage systems
  • Strong knowledge of ABB tools such as ServIS, SOFA, SFDC, Automation White Space Power BI, Installed Base Intelligence Power BI, Global PAEN Dashboard Power BI, and MyControl System
  • Background in system engineering, direct customer technical support, project management, or coordination
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset and focus on shared objectives
  • Experience in Energy Industries, ideally in Power Generation, Oil & Gas, or Chemical markets
  • Fluency in English
