Manufacturing Engineer Technician

Full Time Engineering Waukesha, WI, US

JOB SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide NC programming support for the plasma machine, CNC wood router equipment, and CNC machining center. Additional duties will be to support the Manufacturing Engineering Departments by developing tooling, ordering equipment, assisting in CI Projects, and other duties as needed.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide machine-programming support for the plasma machine
  • Provide machine-programming support for the CNC wood routing machines
  • Provide machine-programming support for the CNC machining center
  • Write or update manufacturing procedures as needed
  • Research and order parts, tools and other materials in support of Manufacturing Engineering projects
  • Support company LEAN activities, this includes 5S and Kaizen events
  • Design simple production tools and assembly fixtures
  • Assist with new machine introductions and capex project work

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Must have experience operating or programming CNC equipment
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Self-motivated

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required Education / Experience

  • High school diploma
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the manufacturing and have in depth knowledge of machining processes
