The GE Aerospace manufacturing site in Lynn designs, produces, assembles, and tests military and commercial aircraft engines and components. With 1.6 million sqft of manufacturing space, we're making a huge contribution to the future of flight. Role Overview
The Senior EHS Manager will oversee the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) function for the Lynn site, managing a team of senior professionals and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role will focus on driving safety culture, improving processes, and influencing organizational policies to achieve operational excellence. The Senior EHS Manager will leverage industry trends and best practices to enhance EHS performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage medium to large teams, including senior professional direct reports, while providing mentorship and leadership to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Work closely with upper leadership and operations teams to identify, address, and resolve EHS issues, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead efforts to drive cultural change in a union environment, fostering a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Take ownership of several EHS Framework Elements, ensuring their effective implementation and integration into site operations.
  • Develop, lead, and execute site-level risk reduction initiatives to mitigate hazards and improve overall safety performance.
  • Ensure compliance of plant operations with regulatory requirements related to air, solid waste, chemicals, water, health, and safety.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of site-level EHS requirements and ensure adherence to GE EHS Framework Elements.
  • Apply skilled knowledge of OSHA regulations to ensure compliance and drive improvements in workplace safety.
  • Manage EHS incidents effectively, including investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and reporting.
  • Embrace GE Aerospace lean system (FLIGHT DECK) to continue driving transformational improvements across EHS

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 14 years of EHS experience)
  • Minimum of 10 years of EHS experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in union manufacturing environments
  • Experience managing OSHA 300 Log
  • Experience in driving plant health and safety programs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Proven ability to lead programs and projects
  • Established project management skills
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs effectively

The base pay range for this position is $180,550.00 - $224,900.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on June 18, 2026.
