Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton is now hiring an experienced Logistics Supply Support Senior Associate, for its' Southern European Task Force - Africa (SETAF-AF) Strategic Mission Support II (SMS II) program, supporting the Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, SETAF-AF.

Location: On-site, Vicenza, Italy 

Role & Responsibilities: 

  • In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert to the Government (US Army) in support of supply, property, and equipment accountability. 
  • You will work with the Company Supply Personnel to ensure compliance with all Army regulations and directives to enable the success of the organization.
  • Under limited supervision, perform technical supply management work related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Tasks may be segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility.

Provide the following functions in support of the Company level leadership:

  • Property Accountability & Asset Management:
    • Ensure accurate accountability and visibility of authorized property utilizing the Army's Accountable Property System of Record (APSR), GCSS-Army, in accordance with AR 710-4.
    • Conduct physical inventories, research and reconcile inventory discrepancies, document findings, and prepare supporting documentation for adjustment actions as directed by the Government.
    • Manage redistribution and retrograde operations in support of equipment readiness, accountability, and lifecycle management requirements.
    • Support monthly and quarterly inventories of sensitive items, controlled cryptographic items (CCI), weapons, and other accountable property in accordance with AR 710-4 and local command policies.
  • Training & Advisory Support:
    • Advise unit supply personnel on property accountability processes, GCSS-Army operations, Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) requirements and regulatory compliance.
    • Provide expert advice to government representatives on property accountability, supply operations, and logistics management processes.
  • Audit Compliance & Records Management:
    • Maintain property accountability records and supporting documentation in an audit-ready status.
    • Ensure compliance with Army regulations, CSDP, and audit readiness initiatives.
  • Exercise & Operational Support:
    • Provide logistics and property accountability support for exercises and operations.
    • Participate in planning meetings, working groups, and in-progress reviews.
    • Inventory management utilizing an authorized Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) or manual procedures, including but not limited to: Coordinating requisitions and management of nonexpendable and durable property with the BN S4 and Property Book Office (PBO). Storage, receipt, issue, transfer, and inventory of government property. Researching and processing inventory adjustment documentation to maintain accurate accountability records.
    • Redistribution and retrograde of government property as directed by the Government, Records management to support audit requirements, Financial Liability of Property Loss (FLIPL) administrative support, Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE) administrative support.
  • Turn In and Lateral Transfers:
    • Verify property accountability records and supporting documentation, conduct necessary inspections, and prepare required forms.
    • Coordinate with the Supply Support Activity (SSA), Logistics readiness Center (LRC), or other designated activities for scheduling, transportation, and condition code determination.
    • Process accountability transactions within GCSS-Army and coordinate with the Property Book Office (PBO) to facilitate transaction completion.
    • Conduct joint inventories to verify serial numbers, serviceability, component shortages and item completeness.
    • Coordinate logistics requirements, update accountability records, and submit reports as required by the Government. 
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant U.S. Army experience; or High School diploma and 8+ years of relevant U.S. Army experience may be substituted in lieu of the bachelors degree.
  • Three years of recent experience with U.S. Army accountability and property oversight services.
  • Knowledge of applications in a computerized environment, including spreadsheet applications and data bases (e.g. GCSS-A, EFLIPL, Decision Support Tool, FMSweb, AESIP, Excel, Access, Power Point).
  • U.S. citizenship required. 
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Must meet visa and or work permit requirements for Italy to be considered eligible for employment. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 years of experience in U.S. Army Logistics services.
  • Former US Army Senior NCO (SFC-MSG), Warrant Officer (CW2-CW5).
  • Bilingual Italian Language Proficiency a plus

Target Salary Range$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
