Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Analyst to join our team! In this role you will get to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Director of Test Consolidated Flight Test organization in support of test planning, integration, execution, and analysis of the Space Based Interceptor program.

What You'll Be Doing: You will assist in development of pre-mission flight test design, scenario development, and support flight test execution by:

  • Performing pre-mission target and interceptor trajectory generation and optimization
  • Performing pre-mission quantitative safety and risk analyses to ensure tests can be conducted safely in accordance with Range Commanders Council safety standards
  • Supporting Range Safety Working Group meeting and activities to include tracking action items, data delivery schedules, and analysis schedules
  • Assist with pre-mission telemetry link and radar assessments to ensure flight test architecture meets data collection requirements
  • Assist senior team members in conducting COLA (collision avoidance) assessments for day of flight execution

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Education: BA/BS in a field pertinent to the position being filled. Five (5) years relevant experience may be substituted for the BA/BS degree requirement.
  • Experience: No direct MDA experience required.
  • Clearance: The ability to obtain a SECRET Clearance is required


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) organization and Missile Defense System (MDS) designs, performance and testing
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, Java, and/or other programming languages
  • Basic understanding of Orbital Mechanics and Physics

What Highly Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Knowledge of RF Engineering and Communication design and processing
  • Knowledge of Range Commander's Council Standards
