Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst (Experienced or Senior)
Company:
The Boeing Company
The Space, Intelligence, and Weapon Systems (SI&WS) division of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst (Experienced or Senior) to join the team in Huntsville, AL.
This position offers the opportunity to partner with program analysts and senior leadership across multiple functions, while leading and supporting key financial processes including Long Range Business Plans (LRBP), forecasts, and Opportunity and Risk management. The role supports The Strategic Missile and Defense Systems (SMDS) subdivision and reports directly to the SI&WS FP&A Manager.
Position responsibilities:
  • Serves as the designated finance focal for areas of the SMDS sub-division
  • Leads and supports the development, consolidation, and analysis of the SMDS LRBP and monthly forecasts at both the business and programs levels
  • Develops executive-level presentations for the SMDS Leadership Team
  • Builds and maintains strong partnerships with program leadership, peers, and cross-functional leaders
  • Drives the integration and analysis of complex, multi-layered financial statement forecasts, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights
  • Leads variance analysis and provides senior management with clear explanations of financial performance
  • Recommends actions to senior management on financial performance projections using business and financial expertise
  • Leads development of complex business cases and ad hoc analyses
  • Provides subject-matter expertise to troubleshoot process and tool issues, determines root causes, and recommends solutions
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by communicating and deploying enterprise best practices to improve quality, cost, delivery, and customer satisfaction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience performing financial analysis
  • 3+ years in a finance-related role such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts, or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)
  • 3+ years of experience developing forecasts for use in Long Range Business Plans (LRBPs)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience making financial recommendations to senior leaders
  • Ability to manage and consolidate data from multiple programs
