Job Description:
At Regions, the Risk Credit Reporting Analyst assists in the analysis of the company's risk and prepares reports for management, detailing research into the company's exposure and suggesting strategies to minimize those risks.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Assists in the preparation of monthly and quarterly credit reports and analytics for internal and external audiences including Regulatory Reporting Schedules
  • May perform a second-level review and validation of key reports prepared by others
  • Strategically collaborates with business partners and technology teams in identifying risks and opportunities in the portfolio as well as addressing special requests with ad hoc reporting
  • Participates in working groups for bank-wide data enhancement and other various projects
  • Assists in the creation of presentations, job aids, training materials, and reporting tools, including SharePoint, and databases in collaboration with managers
  • Designs, develops, and reports independent analyses that provide greater insight into risk exposures and mitigation efforts
  • Offers advice and guidance to junior analysts on occasion

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or directly related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in related field

Preferences
  • Basic understanding of applicable databases and data structures
  • Experience with Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS), Structured Query Language (SQL), Power Business Intelligence (Power BI), or related database software

Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to learn additional systems as needed
  • Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
  • Ability to work in a team environment when applicable
  • Ability to work under moderate guidance
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation

  • Associate will share responsibility for balancing the bank's charge offs, recoveries, and non-performing loans.
  • Associate will share responsibility for management reporting of internal credit metrics.
  • Heavily involved in quarterly regulatory reporting from a credit perspective

Additional Experience
  • Prior account reconciliation or balancing
  • Detail oriented and meticulous record keeping
  • Ability to research and understand complex problems
  • SQL coding experience is a plus

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
