  • Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary project leadership team to develop and maintain a product technology strategy that is informed by product vision, technical costs, and long-term technology goals

  • Leveraging the Unreal Engine and technology the team has built, direct the engineering organization to tackle challenging problems, find combinations of innovative technology with proven models, and build reliable solutions that deliver game experiences while sensibly managing technology risks

  • Recruit, nurture, and retain an engineering organization (30+ engineers, both internal FTE and external codev) with the skills, capacity, and adaptability to navigate uncertainty and deliver on the changing needs of the project

  • Manage multiple senior engineering leads, providing management support, technical guidance, constructive feedback, and career development coaching

  • Work with production leadership to schedule, track, deliver, and close out game features and releases, anticipating and mitigating any critical risks encountered, technical or otherwise

  • Communicate with PlayStation executives, directors, and technology teams, as needed

 REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to align with leadership and executive stakeholders, translate goals into strategic technology solutions with a thorough understanding of cost, efficiency, and quality tradeoffs, and then lead an organization to execute on a technology strategy

  • Effectively communicate with and inspire fellow engineers by driving team alignment and buy-in on technology vision and architectural principles

  • Ability to work with a team in a hybrid environment, leveraging real time chat communications and documentation across an entire game studio
