Job description

Surfsand Resort is seeking an experienced Hotel Operations Manager to help lead our team and support the day-to-day operations of our award-winning beachfront resort. This is a hands-on hospitality leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing teams, and is committed to delivering exceptional guest service.

What You'll Do
  • Provide daily operational leadership across resort departments.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) when the General Manager is off-site, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Support department leaders in delivering exceptional guest and team member experiences.
  • Coach, mentor, and assist with training to ensure service excellence and operational consistency.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and brand expectations.
  • Assist with operational planning, staffing, and process improvements.
  • Support the Accounting Department with financial and administrative responsibilities, including:
    • Accounts payable
    • Invoice coding
    • Bank deposits and banking duties
    • Payroll processing and related tasks
    • Other accounting and administrative functions as assigned
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 5 years of hotel management or supervisory experience required.
  • Experience with a branded hotel is strongly preferred.
  • Training and experience in:
    • Hotel front desk operations
    • Cash handling procedures
    • Hotel accounting and administrative processes
    • Or an equivalent combination of education and hospitality experience.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable making decisions independently and managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems.
  • High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities.
