About This Role

We are seeking an Assistant Childcare Teacher to join our team at Chroma Early Learning Academy. In this role, you will assist lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. Responsibilities will include supporting the implementation of age-appropriate activities, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, and communicating effectively with staff and families. If you are patient, attentive, and passionate about early childhood education, with a willingness to collaborate and adapt in a dynamic childcare setting, we encourage you to apply.


What You'll Do
  • Support lead teachers in providing day-to-day care to children in the classroom, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Oversee the maintenance of a clean, safe, and engaging classroom environment, adhering to Georgia DECAL and Quality Rated standards.
  • Collaborate with lead teachers to design and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote sensory exploration, early communication, and gross motor development.
  • Monitor and record developmental milestones, sharing insights with families to ensure their child's progress and well-being.
  • Comply with all licensing and program guidelines related to health, safety, and sanitation, upholding the highest standards in childcare.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities required for Quality Rated compliance.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Ability to meet all requirements under Georgia’s Bright from the Start and Quality Rated guidelines.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Ability to Pass a Background Check
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.
  • Passion for early childhood education and the social-emotional well-being of young children.
  • High school diploma or GED required

A minimum of one year of teaching or childcare experience is a plus, but not required.
