Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Kinesiology on the Dahlonega campus. The primary duties will consist of teaching undergraduate courses and/or labs in the Department of Kinesiology. This position will include a tuition waiver. With full-time assistantships, graduate students teach 6 credit hours. Total hours worked (including teaching) may not exceed 25 hours per week.
Responsibilities
  • Teach six credit hours of undergraduate kinesiology coursework in the fall semester. Teach six credit hours of undergraduate kinesiology coursework in the spring semester.
  • Participate in professional development related to pedagogy and content as provided by the Department of Kinesiology; the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Leadership; and other areas/organizations as approved by the department head.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge of undergraduate coursework.
  • Ability to deliver course content.
  • Ability to manage a classroom.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must be enrolled in one of the Department of Kinesiology graduate programs.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
