Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Georgia Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of child development, classroom management, and curriculum implementation in alignment with the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS) and Georgia’s Pre-K Program guidelines.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement daily instruction aligned with GELDS and Pre-K requirements
  • Maintain a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Conduct developmental assessments and maintain student portfolios using WSS
  • Communicate regularly with families through conferences, updates, and classroom events
  • Collaborate with co-teachers, administrators, and support staff
  • Support kindergarten readiness and early literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development
  • Ensure compliance with all Georgia Pre-K documentation and operational standards

Requirements

Qualifications (Required by GA DECAL):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Valid Georgia Pre-K Lead Teacher credential (DECAL-approved)
  • Experience with Work Sampling System Online (WSS) or similar assessment tools
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must pass a Georgia DECAL criminal background check
