Join Our Team:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Georgia Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of child development, classroom management, and curriculum implementation in alignment with the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS) and Georgiaโ€™s Pre-K Program guidelines.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment to foster student growth and development.
  • Plan and implement daily instruction aligned with GELDS and Pre-K requirements to ensure a standards-based education.
  • Conduct developmental assessments and maintain student portfolios using WSS to track student progress.
  • Communicate regularly with families through conferences, updates, and classroom events to maintain open lines of communication.
  • Collaborate with co-teachers, administrators, and support staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Support kindergarten readiness and early literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development through targeted instruction and activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all Georgia Pre-K documentation and operational standards to maintain a high-quality program.

Requirements

Qualifications (Required by GA DECAL):

  • Valid Georgia Pre-K Lead Teacher credential (DECAL-approved) and a Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Experience with Work Sampling System Online (WSS) or similar assessment tools to track student progress.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with families and staff.
  • Must pass a Georgia DECAL criminal background check to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or equivalent experience and training.
