Job description

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and reliable Daycare Teacher to join the CFLC Family. This role supports toddler and preschool classrooms by creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. The ideal candidate is familiar with the Frog Street curriculum, understands the principles of Trust‐Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and is committed to building strong, supportive relationships with children and families.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working with toddlers and/or preschool‐aged children in a childcare or early education setting.
  • Familiarity with Frog Street curriculum (Infant, Toddler, or Pre‐K).
  • Understanding of TBRI principles or willingness to be trained.
  • Ability to pass all required background checks, including fingerprinting.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong communication, patience, and relationship‐building skills.
  • High school diploma required; CDA or early childhood coursework preferred.
  • Ability to sit on the floor, bend, squat, and actively engage with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Implement age‐appropriate lessons and activities aligned with the Frog Street curriculum.
  • Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through intentional interactions and play‐based learning.
  • Use TBRI strategies to build connection, support emotional regulation, and respond to challenging behaviors with empathy and consistency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
  • Observe, document, and communicate developmental progress and concerns.
  • Follow all licensing regulations, center policies, and health/safety procedures.
